COVID-19 SAFETY

Studio Five Dance Company is enacting the following policies for the safety of our dancers, their families and our staff. It is our #1 priority that students have a safe and fun environment to dance in, whether that’s at home or in the studio. These policies are in place until further notice. We will follow the health and safety guidelines from the Governor, as well as the Wake County Health Department and the NC Department of Health & Human Services, and will adjust our policies as needed per their guidance. Guidelines will be posted on our doors.

MASKS AND FACE SHIELDS

Per CDC guidance, masks will be required by anyone age two and older who enters our building and must be worn in all areas. Masks must be worn at all times while in the building. Our teachers will wear masks and face shields while instructing students.

TEMPERATURE CHECKS

Anyone who enters the building will be required to have their temperature checked before entering. Those with a temperature above 100.4 degrees will not be permitted.

CLOSED LOBBY

The lobby will only be open to students and staff. We encourage parents to walk their student to the door of the studio, but they will not be permitted to enter. Our friendly staff will help your child get to their class. Parents can stream their child’s class via the app.

SANITIZE YOUR HANDS

All dancers and staff will sanitize their hands as they enter the building. Hands will be sanitized when leaving and entering each room or area of the studio.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Students will be required to adhere to all social distancing guidelines. Studios, hallways, and the lobby will be sectioned into spaces that are the required 6 ft. apart. Boxes will be taped on the studio floors and students will be required to stay in their personal dance spaces.

CLEAN BETWEEN CLASSES

Staff will clean and sanitize all equipment and hard surfaces between each class, at the end of each night, and at the start of each day.

BRING YOUR OWN WATER

Dancers will need to bring their own water bottles to class and keep them in designated, distanced spots. Water fountains will be closed. Sharing of water bottles is strictly prohibited. Food will not be permitted in the studio, lounge, or lobby.

STREAM CLASS

If you or anyone in your family is feeling unwell in any way, please stay home. Use the streaming app to stream your class and never miss a beat! We will welcome you back warmly when you are well again.

DRESSING OUT

Students need to arrive at the dance studio in their proper dancewear. Dressing rooms will be closed and unavailable for use.

TRAVEL

Under the NC Safer-at-Home Orders, non-essential travel is strongly discouraged, both domestically and internationally. If you are required to travel, travel to hot spots is strongly discouraged. If a student travels to an area/state considered a hot spot by the CDC, that state’s Department of Health & Human Services, or the North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services, they will not be allowed inside the studio for a period of 14 days from the date they leave that hot spot/state. Classes can be attended virtually from home so the student does not miss out.

REPORTING AN EXPOSURE

If a student or a member of their family has been exposed to COVID-19, the studio should be notified immediately via call, text, or email. Our staff monitors all lines of communication throughout the day and notices will be received immediately.

CLOSING FOR A REPORTED EXPOSURE

If an exposure is reported to Studio Five staff, the studio will close for cleaning immediately. A professional cleaning team will deep-sanitize the studio. Families will be notified via email and social media of the closure and expected reopening date. All recreation and Synergy Company dance classes will move to an online format during the closure and no refunds will be given for those days. Fine Arts Club will be cancelled and families will be notified of refunds for the closure dates.
