Hey Studio Five Dancers and Parents!

My name is Kaylee! Also known as Ms. Kaylee. I have been a dancer since I was 2 years old and have been competing since I was 5 years old. I have moved around all over the country which made me learn from numerous prestigious dance studios all over Chicago, Miami and Texas. I did high school dance team as well. I started out as a studio assistant teacher at 13 and worked my way up to a teacher and doing choreography by the age of 17. Once it came time to graduate, I had missed the window of opportunity to audition for college dance teams, due to an injury. I decided to audition to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. While, I made it pretty far in auditions. I decided that I was too young. And, for personal reasons I decided to move with my parents cross country to North Carolina. I have been a freelance choreographer since I was 18, a dance teacher at studios around Raleigh on and off since 2013. I have being a guest choreographer for master classes and have also done choreography for solos, duos and trios. I have done freelance work across the country for high schools and college. I have worked with competitive cheer teams creating routines and I’ve worked with  gymnasts and choreographed their floor routines. I moved for a while during 2015-2019  doing dance at other studios as much as I could while I was away. I am happy to be back in Raleigh and the Raleigh dance scene. I am so happy to be back and to now be apart of Studio Five! I specialize in Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Pom/ Dance Team Prep Classes along with Ballet to all ages. I do love teaching tap and hip hop as well. My favorite styles to teach or choreograph are contemporary lyrical, jazz or pro dance team prep. My favorite styles to watch are Tap, Hip Hip and Contemporary. I love to push myself out of my comfort zone. I am also a fitness fanatic and am getting my NASM Certification along with my real estate certification. I am running a 10k in October so fingers crossed I can do it! Two fun facts you wouldn’t know about me: I used to be a competition swimmer who wanted to go to the olympics. That means I have the skills to teach you swim as well as dance. The second thing is I have a corgi named Violet who is my best friend.

Looking forward to a super fun awesome season! And, if any one has an questions please feel free to reach out!

Thank you everyone for being so welcoming!

With love, Miss Kaylee
