Sami Lane has been dancing since she was eight years old. She trained extensively in pre-professional ballet and pointe, as well as several other styles including jazz, tap, and modern. She has performed several supplemental roles with Carolina Ballet, and spent her high school summers training with The Rock School of Dance in Philadelphia, Richmond Ballet, Summer Dance Company in Atlanta, and Carolina Ballet. At her home studio in Cary, she performed lead roles in the Nutcracker, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, and Peter Pan. She currently attends Campbell University and is studying Biomedical Humanities, with plans to become a genetic counselor. She loves to sing, spend time with her friends, play piano or guitar, and snuggle with her cat. She specializes in teaching and choreographing ballet and pointe, but loves to explore other styles. Sami is so excited to come on staff with Studio Five this year, and share her passion for dance with the next generation!
